On the left side there are dialogue boxes that will help you to search for companies in different ways. By clicking on the arrow beside the box heading the dialogue box will open or close. By clicking on the question mark beside the box heading, you will get information to help you search in the current box. |

| On the left side of the nation flags you will find a menu bar (see picture below). When you place the mouse pointer over the headings more alternatives will be exposed in the drop down menu. Click on one of the alternatives to go to the page indicated.
On the menu bar you are also able to select preferred language by clicking on a flag.

| In the standard search you enter the name or the business ID/VAT no.
Search on company name:
Enter at least two characters and click on “Search”.
Search on business ID/VAT no:
Enter 7–10 digits, with or without the use of a hyphen.
For more advanced searches via company facts and closing figures click on “Advanced search” on the left of the Search button.

| In the advanced search you are able to enter a number of criteria you want the companies to comply with. Enter a search parameter or combine several. The more detailed parameters, the more precise the result. Furthermore you are able to combine these company detail parameters with the closing information as well as the financial ratio parameters. Switch between “Company” and “Closing info” by clicking on the tabs. Click on “Search” to process the query.

| In the advanced search you are able to search for companies through financial information. Click on the “Closing info” tab. Enter a search parameter or combine several. The more detailed parameters, the more precise the result. Furthermore you are able to combine these financial search parameters with other company facts. Switch between “Company” and “Closing info” by clicking on the tabs. Click on “Search” to process the query.

Company:
Enter optional amount of characters to search for company names.
Person:
Enter optional amount of characters to search for a specific person among a company’s decision makers.
Business ID/VAT no:
The business ID/VAT number must contain 7–10 digits, with or without a hyphen and no spaces.
Parent company:
Enter optional amount of characters to search for companies with a specific parent company.
Telephone:
Enter optional amount of digits to search for companies with a telephone number that contains your digit string.
Postal code:
The postal code must contain four (Denmark and Norway) or five (Finland and Sweden) digits. When entering only one postal code your search result will contain companies from this postal code area only. If you enter a postal code in both fields, the company search is made between these two postal code areas.
City:
Enter the name of a city or characters in the city’s name to search for companies in this city only.
County:
Select one of the specified counties to search for companies in this county only.

Industry sector:
Select one of the specified industry sectors for your search.
Activity code:
Select one of the specified activity codes for your search.
Stock-exchange listing:
Select listed, non-listed or all companies.
Exclude subsidiaries:
Excludes all companies that are marked as subsidiaries from your search.
Include inactive companies:
The database also contains companies that are inactive in some ways. They may have gone bankrupt, be dormant or they may have merged. Tick the box if you want to include these companies in your search.
Foreign-owned parent company:
Tick this box if you only want to search for companies with foreign-owned parent company..

In this dialogue box you are able to search for companies that operate in a certain industry. Enter some of the following in the search field:
- a search word for a specific industry, e.g. ‘provisions’
- an industry sector/code (from 00 to 99000).
When search field is left empty, all industries are being searched within.

| When entering a specific search word, e.g. ‘provisions’, the search result will be screened as in the picture below. The word you have entered is typed as bold red. To search for a company in a certain industry, tick one or several industries and then click “Search companies within the marked industries”. A new search result will be screened. To search for companies within all industries within a certain industry sector, tick the industry sector (B4 in this case) and all the underlying industry codes will be ticked automatically. It is also possible to select all the screened industry codes by clicking on “Tick all”.
To print a list of the selected industries click “Print list of industries”.

In this dialogue box you will see all your saved searches. A saved search contains all the search criteria for a search you have processed and saved. When repeating the search, the result may vary due to the daily update of the database.
How do you save a search?
To save a search, enter your search criteria and then process the search. When you are satisfied with your search result, click on the “Save search criteria” link above or below the search result list. A new line in the dialogue box will appear containing the date of creating the search and a text link with a part of the search criteria. By placing the mouse on a search criteria link, you will get full information of your saved search.
Repeat a search
To repeat a search, click on a saved search criteria link. The search will then be made with exactly the same criteria as in your original search.
Delete a search
To delete a search, click on the on the right of the saved searches listing.

We present a number of top lists of the largest companies in the Nordic countries within different categories. Each list contains the 100 largest companies within a category. To view a ranking list, click on one of the links in the top list dialogue box. |

| Here you are able to create address labels in the format 63,5 x 38,1 mm x 21 (AVERY L7160). Select a recipient at the company by ticking a title or a responsibility area. If the person’s name is in our database it will be printed on the labels, otherwise the attention line will be e.g. ‘Managing Director’ or ‘Marketing’, depending on your choice. You are furthermore able to enter your own attention line on the labels.
For the labels to retain their format the printing is performed through Microsoft Word. Thus you must have the software installed on your computer.

| Here you are able to create telemarketing lists from your search result. The list contains company name, address, telephone, fax, name of various contact persons and number of employees.
The print is progressed either via Microsoft Word or your web browser.

| Here you can export address and contact information from the companies in your search result either to a text file or an Excel file. By clicking on the “Select fields…” links you are able to select which information you want to export and in which format you want the file. Otherwise click on "Export directly...". |

| Some company information is available without logging in. If you want detailed information on all the companies you have to have an Access account. Click on “Order Access” to order an account that is adequate for you. If you have forgotten your username or password, click on the link “Forgot your login information?” and fill out your e-mail address, and we will send you your login information. |

| To get full advantage of the Largestcompanies.com site and get access to advanced operations and detailed company information, with the names of more than 250 000 decision-makers, an access account is required. There are three types of accounts to choose between, which will give you different levels of access to the site. |

- Gives you ability to search for companies by entering financial parameters. Possible parameters are turnovers, earnings, exports, financial expenses, current liabilities, equity capital, share capital and number of employees, and financial ratios such as solvency, profitability, return on equity and assets, and current ratio
- Gives you full access to our detailed facts and figures pages that contains the company’s three latest closing figures, e-mail addresses, web site, year of establishment, stock exchange, and names of decision makers etc.
- Gives you ability to save your search criteria.
- Gives you ability to create and print address labels and telemarketing lists.
- Gives you ability to export an unlimited amount of company facts to your own software, e.g. Excel. You are able to export whole search results including company facts to an Excel file, in which you are able to work with the information as you prefer.
- Shortly you will be able to export company facts to your mobile phone: telephone numbers, addresses etc., whenever you want and where ever you are.
